SCHOOL GIRLS IN NORTHERN GHANA
The Lets Go Africa Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization providing better life options and education for the disadvantaged in low income communities. In cooperation with the public and private sectors we are sending books to girl’s schools in Africa.
Our project is in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). In a school population of 1,400 girls, 1,290 are day students. The school is located in the community of Ruashi, near Lubumbashi (pop 1.5 million), the second city in the DRC. The school is the only girl institution for girls in the town. The population is generally poor, and in most cases, the children don’t continue school. The dropout rate is very high.
Book Donations as wells as school supplies are needed and to be shipped to this African girl schools. Donors are usually expected to bear the shipping costs to the U.S. office.
